Located atop one of the highest points in Florida, Chinsegut Hill Historic Site includes an antebellum home that is open for tours on Saturday and Sunday 10 am – 5 pm. Tickets are required.⁠

On Saturday, October 16, 10 am – 3 pm celebrate Founder’s Day at Chinsegut Hill Historic Site with reenactors, tours, games, music, food trucks and a picnic on the lawn. Visitors can also join the next Nature Walk at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26th.⁠

"I finally got to visit Chinsegut Hill! 😍⠀
The manor house, then called Mount Airy, was built in 1847 by Francis Ederington and is located at one of the highest points in Florida at 269 feet. It was a plantation growing corn, tobacco, cotton, sugar cane, and citrus. In later years, the Robins family owned it, naming it Chinsegut Hill, and the manor had many famous guests including Helen Keller, Thomas Edison, and JC Penney. Raymond Robins served as an advisor for all seven US presidents from Teddy Roosevelt to Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
